Okavango Exploration Safaris was founded in 2012 by brothers Theno "Sox" Kahoma and Muyambo "Rambo" Kahoma, born and raised in the Okavango Panhandle.
Growing up in one of Africa's last great wilderness areas, the Kahoma brothers developed an intimate, inherited knowledge of the land — its wildlife, its seasons, its rhythms. This wasn't learned in a classroom. It was lived.
What began as two brothers with a single vehicle and a deep respect for their homeland has grown into one of Botswana's most respected mobile safari operators. Today, we remain family-run, hands-on, and fiercely committed to the values we started with: authenticity, sustainability, and a profound love for the wild.
