What clothes and gear should I bring?

Packing for a mobile safari is simple. We follow FGASA recommendations:

Clothing

• Neutral colours: Khaki, beige, olive. Avoid dark blue and black (tsetse flies).
• Light layers: Cool mornings, warm middays. Fleece and windbreaker.
• Long trousers and sleeves: Sun and insect protection.
• Closed shoes, hat, sunglasses.

Gear

• Sunscreen SPF 50+
• DEET insect repellent (EPA approved)
• Headlamp with red light
• Binoculars (8x25 minimum)
• Camera with spare batteries
• Soft duffel bag (no hard suitcases)
