WHAT “STANDARD SAFARI” MEANS FOR YOU?

You do not have to cook, wash dishes or dig latrines, as the safari team takes care of these core camp duties. Your participation is limited to pitching and packing down your own tent and carrying your personal luggage to and from the safari vehicle at each campsite

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Accommodation & Camping Equipment
You are provided with an easy-to-erect bow tent measuring approximately 2.1m x 2.1m x 1.75m, fitted with mosquito-mesh doors and windows.
Bedding
A 5cm high-density foam mattress is supplied for each traveller. Guests must bring their own sleeping bag and small pillow, or arrange a rental pack with Okavango Exploration Safaris in advance.
Shared Ablutions
Standard bush toilets and showers are set up for the group by the safari crew at national park and game reserve campsites.
Meals
Freshly prepared daily breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the safari.
Drinking Water
Purified drinking water is included throughout the safari.
Game Drives, Mokoro & Safari Activities
The safari includes scheduled game drives, mokoro excursions and other activities included in the itinerary.
Transport
Travel is conducted in custom-built 4x4 safari vehicles with trailers.
Professional Safari Team
A team consisting of a Professional Safari Guide and Camp Assistant handles navigation, cooking, camp operations and heavy camp duties.
Group Size
Safaris operate with a minimum of 2 guests and a maximum of 7 guests per vehicle.

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED

Sleeping Gear
Sleeping bags and pillows are not included. Guests may bring their own or arrange a rental pack with Okavango Exploration Safaris in advance.
Beverages
Purified drinking water is included. Other beverages, including alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and bottled juices, are not included.
Restaurant Meals
Meals eaten at commercial restaurants, typically during stops in towns or around Victoria Falls, are not included.
Activity Fees & Visas
Victoria Falls entry fees, cross-border visas and third-party activities not included in the safari itinerary, such as scenic flights, are excluded.
Airport Transfers
Airport transfers at the start or end of the safari are not included unless specifically stated in the itinerary.
Staff Gratuities
Tips for your Professional Guide, Camp Chef, Camp Assistants, mokoro polers, trackers and other safari staff are discretionary and not included.
Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and remains the responsibility of the traveller. We recommend coverage for trip cancellation or interruption, emergency medical expenses, evacuation, repatriation and baggage loss or damage.
