What are the bathroom facilities like?
Most mobile safaris offer a private en-suite "bush bathroom" attached to or located directly behind your tent. This typically includes:
- Hand basin for washing your face and hands.
- Bucket shower – hot water is carried and heated by our camp staff, giving you a warm shower under the open sky.
- Either a long-drop or a portable flush toilet, discreetly serviced daily.
- Toilet paper, soap, and towels provided at no extra cost.
Simpler or budget camps may offer shared or communal facilities instead of private en-suite setups. When you book, we clearly specify the bathroom arrangement for your chosen safari level.
Are the showers really hot?
Yes. Our camp staff heat water on demand and hoist it above the shower. You get a genuinely warm shower, even in remote areas.
Are the toilets private?
Yes, in our standard and superior safaris, each tent has its own private toilet. In participation camps, toilets may be shared.
