What safety rules apply in camp?
To ensure a safe experience in our unfenced camps, we enforce these common rules:
- Never leave food in your tent — keep it in sealed containers or the camp kitchen.
- Keep your tent zipped at all times, even during the day.
- Do not leave your tent after "lights out" without a guide or escort.
- Stay close to your guide during game drives and bush walks.
- Always follow your guide's instructions if wildlife is nearby.
- Wear closed shoes at night to avoid scorpions or snakes.
- Use a torch or headlamp when walking around camp after dark.
Why are these rules important?
Botswana's wilderness is real. Elephants, hippos, hyenas, and even lions can pass through camp. These rules protect both guests and wildlife, and have kept our camps incident-free for over a decade.
